GTA 6 Price by Country

One confirmed price — $79.99 in the US — converted into 44 markets with local consumption tax shown as its own line. Pick your country, compare the edition ladder, and see whether importing is actually worth it.

Rockstar has confirmed one number: $79.99 for the Standard edition in the United States. Everything else is either a storefront's regional price or a currency conversion — and the two produce very different answers. This page keeps them apart. Markets where publishers historically set a deliberately lower local price (India, Brazil, Türkiye, Japan, China) are flagged as regionally priced; everywhere else you get a clean conversion plus that country's VAT, GST or sales tax as a separate line, so you can see what actually lands on the receipt.

The short answer

GTA 6 costs $79.99 USD for the Standard edition — the only price Rockstar has confirmed. In United States that models out to $85.59 for standard edition, or about $85.59 once sales tax (avg) is counted. That is in line with the us price, converted at the reference rate below.

Gap is real, but account risk is not

Regional store prices are tied to your account region and, on most storefronts, to a local payment method. Switching region to chase a lower price usually breaks the storefront's terms of service and can cost you access to your library. Treat these numbers as a price comparison, not a purchasing instruction.

GTA 6 Standard vs Deluxe vs Ultimate

The upgrade question, answered with a value rate instead of a feature list.

GTA 6 edition ladder priced in USD for United States, with premium over Standard and cost per 100,000 bundled GTA$.
EditionLocal totalOver StandardBundled GTA$Per 100k GTA$
Standard Edition$85.59
Deluxe EditionModelled$106.99$21.40500,000$4.28
Ultimate EditionModelled$117.69$32.101,000,000$3.21

Story-mode-only players should stop at Standard: the premium rungs are almost entirely GTA Online value. If you do play Online, the modelled Ultimate rate of roughly $3.21 per 100,000 GTA$ beats every Shark Card tier in GTA Online's history — that, not the wardrobe pack, is the argument.

Why GTA 6 is cheaper in India than in Norway

Regional pricing and tax are different mechanisms, and only one of them moves the number much.

Regional pricing

A standing publisher decision, not a sale. Storefronts let publishers set a lower list price in markets where a flat USD conversion would price the game out of reach. It is worth 30–50% in India, Brazil, Türkiye and Argentina — an order of magnitude more than any tax difference. It also moves rarely: publishers reprice these tiers in occasional passes, so a regional number is more stable than a converted one.

Consumption tax

VAT, GST and sales tax range from 5% in the UAE to 25% in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Because most of the world quotes tax-inclusive shelf prices, that difference is invisible unless you split it out — which is why the table above has a dedicated tax column. The US and Canada are the odd ones out: their shelf price understates the receipt.

Should you buy GTA 6 from another region?

The gap is real. The trade still is not.

  1. Storefront region is tied to your account, and changing it on Steam, PlayStation or Xbox generally requires a payment method issued in the new country.
  2. Publishers and platforms both police region mismatch. Outcomes range from a declined transaction to a restricted library — you are risking everything you already own, not just this purchase.
  3. Regional keys bought from grey-market resellers are the most common route and the least reliable: revoked keys are not refundable and support will not help.
  4. Currency and payment fees eat a meaningful slice of a $20–30 gap before you count the risk.
  5. If you legitimately live in a low-priced market, none of this applies — you simply get the local price.

Our position: use this page to know what a fair local price looks like and to spot a reseller overcharging you, not as a route to a cheaper region.

Calibration notes

  • Only the $79.99 US Standard price is treated as fact. Every other figure is either a dated conversion or a modelled regional price, and both are labelled as such in the interface — not just in the small print.
  • Regional price levels come from the standing list prices these storefronts have used for $59.99–$79.99 releases in each market, not from a leak or a rumoured listing.
  • FX rates are frozen at 2026-08-01 so results are reproducible; the date renders next to every converted figure.
  • Zero-decimal currencies (JPY, KRW, IDR, VND, CLP, COP, ARS, NGN, PKR, BDT, PHP) round to whole units, matching how storefronts actually list them.
  • US sales tax uses a 7% national average because it is set at state and county level; treat the US receipt total as ±3% rather than exact.
  • Deluxe and Ultimate rungs are modelled at +$20 and +$30 over Standard, the same spacing Rockstar used for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Changelog

  • v1.0 · Launch: 44 markets across 34 currencies from the confirmed $79.99 anchor, with tax split out, regional-pricing flags, an edition ladder with cost-per-100k-GTA$, a full comparison ranking and an import-risk verdict. Adds a public JSON endpoint at /api/public/price-by-country.json for agents, dynamic per-country OG cards, and Dataset + ItemList + Offer schema. Absorbs the edition-comparison intent so Standard vs Ultimate lives on one page.

How to find the GTA 6 price in your country

Five steps from your country to a receipt-accurate number.

  1. 01

    Pick your country

The picker defaults to a guess from your browser locale. Change it and every number on the page — shelf price, tax line, receipt total, USD equivalent — recalculates for that market.

  2. 02

Read the shelf price and the tax line separately

Most of the world quotes tax-inclusive shelf prices; the US and Canada add tax at checkout. The result panel always splits the two so you can compare countries on a like-for-like basis instead of arguing about VAT.

  3. 03

Check whether your market is regionally priced

A regionally-priced badge means the storefront sets a deliberately lower local price instead of converting the USD figure. India, Brazil, Türkiye, Argentina, China, Japan and Korea all behave this way historically.

  4. 04

Compare the edition ladder in your currency

Switch to the Editions tab for Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate side by side, with the premium over Standard and the cost per 100,000 bundled GTA$ — the only honest way to judge whether an in-game money bundle is worth the upgrade.

  5. 05

    Sanity-check the import question

The Compare tab ranks all 44 markets by USD-equivalent total and tells you the gap between your country and the cheapest one, plus why chasing it usually is not worth your account.

Pre-filtered views of the same pricing table.

  • GTA 6 price in India (₹)

India has been regionally priced on every major storefront for a decade. The modelled Standard shelf price is ₹4,499 GST-inclusive — roughly 40% below a straight conversion of $79.99, and the single biggest regional discount in this table.

  • GTA 6 price in the UK (£)

UK pricing has tracked £69.99 for $79.99 US titles, VAT included. That lands slightly under the US receipt total once 20% VAT is stripped out — the tab shows both figures.

  • GTA 6 Ultimate edition price in your currency

The Editions tab prices Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate in your local currency and shows what each rung costs per 100,000 bundled GTA$ — the deciding number for most upgrade questions. Both premium rungs are modelled, not confirmed.

How each country's price is calculated from the $79.99 anchor

There is one input the world agrees on — the US Standard price — so that is the only anchor. For a non-regional market the shelf price is the USD anchor multiplied by a dated reference FX rate, rounded to the currency's conventional precision (zero decimals for JPY, KRW, IDR, VND and similar). Tax is then either extracted from the shelf price (tax-inclusive markets) or added on top (US, Canada). The receipt total converts back to USD at the same rate to give a comparable figure, and the difference against the US total drives the price band. For regionally-priced markets the storefront's local price replaces the conversion, and the Deluxe and Ultimate rungs scale by the same USD ratio so the whole ladder respects the discount rather than only the base game.

How much does GTA 6 cost? Country and edition questions

Direct answers on price, tax, editions and region switching.

  • How much does GTA 6 cost?

Rockstar has confirmed $79.99 USD for the Standard edition, with pre-orders opening 25 June 2026. In your own currency the number depends on two things: your storefront's regional price and your country's consumption tax. Pick your country above for the receipt total — for example the modelled figure is ₹4,499 in India, £69.99 in the UK and A$124.95 in Australia.

  • What is the GTA 6 price in India in rupees?

The modelled Standard price is ₹4,499 including 18% GST, based on India's long-standing regional pricing on Steam, PlayStation Store and Xbox. That is roughly $51 at the reference rate — about 40% below the US receipt total. If Rockstar breaks with regional pricing and converts directly, the figure would land near ₹6,900 plus GST; we will update the page the day the storefronts list.

  • Why is GTA 6 cheaper in some countries?

Two separate reasons, and they get confused constantly. Regional pricing is a publisher decision to set a lower local price so the game stays affordable relative to local income — that is why India, Brazil, Türkiye and Argentina sit at the bottom of the table. Tax differences are a distant second: a 25% Nordic VAT versus a 5% UAE VAT moves the receipt by far less than a regional price cut does. This page shows both lines so you can tell which one is doing the work.

  • Can I buy GTA 6 from a cheaper country?

Technically the price gap is real; practically it is a bad trade. Storefront region is tied to your account and, on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox, to a payment method issued in that country. Region-hopping to buy cheaper breaks the terms of service on every major platform, and enforcement ranges from a blocked purchase to a locked library. Treat the Compare tab as a price comparison, not a purchasing route.

  • Is the GTA 6 Ultimate edition price confirmed?

No. Only the $79.99 Standard price is official. Deluxe at $99.99 and Ultimate at $109.99 are modelled from the GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 ladders, where premium editions ran $20 and $30 over base. Every Deluxe and Ultimate figure on this page carries an unconfirmed marker, and the changelog will record the day real numbers replace them.

  • Is the Ultimate edition worth it for the GTA$ bundle?

Divide the premium by the bundled in-game money. The modelled Ultimate rung costs $30 over Standard for 1,000,000 GTA$, which works out at about $3 per 100,000 GTA$ — cheaper than any Shark Card rate in GTA Online history. If you intend to play Online seriously, that is the strongest single argument for the upgrade; if you are a story-mode-only player, the bundle is worth nothing to you.

  • Does this page use live exchange rates?

No, and that is deliberate. Rates are static reference values dated 2026-08-01 and shown on screen. A live feed would mean the price you screenshot today disagrees with the price you quote tomorrow, and every FAQ answer and comparison on the page would drift. For a launch price you are planning around, a dated reference rate is more useful than a ticking one.

  • Does the price include tax?

It depends on where you are, which is exactly why the tax line is separate. Most markets — the EU, UK, Japan, India, Australia, Brazil — quote tax-inclusive shelf prices, so the tax is already inside the number you see. The US and Canada add tax at checkout, so the shelf price understates what you pay; this page uses a 7% national average for US sales tax because it genuinely varies by state and county.

  • Will GTA 6 cost more on PC than on console?

Historically no, but the PC version is expected later than the console launch, and delayed PC ports have sometimes launched at the same nominal price with regional prices reset to current FX. The pricing here is platform-agnostic; when the PC release date and storefront listings appear we will add a platform split rather than guess at one now.

  • What happens to these numbers when currencies move?

Regionally-priced markets barely move — publishers reset those prices in occasional passes, not weekly. Converted markets move directly with FX, so a 10% currency slide shows up as roughly a 10% higher local price at the next storefront reprice. The reference date on the page tells you how stale the conversion is; anything older than a quarter should be treated as indicative.

  • Is $79.99 a price rise for the series?

Yes. GTA 5 launched at $59.99 in 2013 and Red Dead Redemption 2 at $59.99 in 2018. Adjusted for US inflation, $59.99 in 2013 is roughly $80 in 2026, so in real terms the Standard edition is close to flat — the sticker is what changed. That framing matters for regional markets, where local incomes have not tracked US inflation and the regional discount does the heavy lifting.

  • Where does the pre-order date fit in?

Pre-orders open 25 June 2026, which is when real storefront listings replace every modelled number on this page. If you want the reminder rather than the maths, the release date reminder tool writes both the pre-order window and launch day to your calendar in your own timezone.

Pricing and tax terms used on this page

Vocabulary that shows up across the tool and the FAQs.

Regional pricing
A publisher setting a deliberately lower local price for a market instead of converting the USD price. Not a discount or a sale — it is the market's standing list price.
Shelf price
The number the storefront displays. Tax-inclusive in most of the world, tax-exclusive in the US and Canada.
Receipt total
What actually leaves your account: shelf price plus any tax added at checkout. The figure this page ranks countries by.
USD equivalent
The receipt total converted back to USD at the dated reference rate. The only way to compare 34 currencies on one axis.
VAT / GST / sales tax
Consumption tax on the purchase. VAT and GST are normally inside the shelf price; US sales tax is added at checkout and varies by state.
Edition premium
What a Deluxe or Ultimate rung costs above Standard, in your currency. Divided by bundled GTA$ it becomes a comparable value rate.
